Each 7 and September 8 Algemesí becomes a unique and unrepeatable scenario for the celebration of Our Lady of Health’s Feast. This is the main theme of the first permanent exhibition of the Traditional Celebration’s Museum in Algemesí (Museu de la Festa), located on the premises of Saint Vincent Ferrer’s Convent built by Dominican friars in 1590.
History, music, clothing, traditions, tales , festive food, objects and documents etc. Presented all in a direct and didactic way they’ll be the reference from which all exhibition spaces will be presented. The museum also holds The Valencian General Archive of “Fiestas” developed by the Sociology and Social Anthropology Area Valencia University.
The Museum, part of Provincial MUSEUM NETWORK of Valencia seeks to establish itself as a major research center.
